We start from聽the聽field experience of the participants, focusing on the atmosphere creation of the scenery, and constructing a flexible walking path. From space to time, the couple鈥檚 love story emerging naturally like flowing water.
Wandering in the corridor, the entrance scenery interpenetrate with each other, forming an open and flowing field that revolves around one鈥檚 perception, emotion, and senses. The surrounding white draperies swaying in the wind to the tune of the cello, the shadows of the trees are playing and chasing gently on the draperies, with the smell of grass, towering tree trunks, and the rustling wutong leaves all over the ground. All these scenery are perfectly fit for this autumn wedding.
The core of spatial expression lies in how to accurately reflect the inner consciousness and imagination, then we can present it through specific material forms. During the preliminary design process, not only we re-conceived and organized the functional requirements, but also incorporated the individual emotional experience. Deconstructed and reorganized various space forms based on the site, to build a poetic and grand space where participants can resonate emotionally with.
Distinguished from the typical scene building, fire-proof lightweight blocks imitating fair-faced concrete are used as the main material, make the ceremony hall solemn and grand with the asymmetric structural and sense of volume. The stairs spread out from the walls and extend to the center of stage, allowing the groom to go down steps, wait for his bride. In opposite is another path for the bride to go up, creating a clever theatrical scene for the wedding ceremony.
Light, shadow and water are important components in the space, and also become another protagonists and objects of expression in some way. The hidden spotlight shines through the perforated plate, simulating nature light, giving a new visual focus and enrich the structure of the stage. The building and people walking among it are reflected on the water, creating a vivid visual experience. Combined with the changes of lighting, to rendering a peaceful and sacred spatial atmosphere.
