As well as deep and fruity red wines, Sicily is well known for its unusual and interesting white wines. Only in the Mediterranean climate of Sicily does Grillo grow, a variety much more interesting than Pinot Grigio and more aromatic than any Chardonnay. Despite the powerful Sicilian sun is stored in the grape, the wine is light and with a hint of lemon zest, a touch of grapefruit and wonderful ripe acidity.
